    Red Yams

  • 1

    stick of butter (about ½ cup)

  • ½

    box of brown sugar

  • 2

    Tblsp of Vanilla

  • ½

    tsp of maple flavoring (liquid)

  • ¼

    tsp salt

  • cup of half and half

  • ½

    tsp cinnamon

  • ¼

    tsp cloves

  • ¼

    tsp ginger

  • Top with mini marshmallows


Wash the yams. Boil the yams until you can put a fork thru them easily. Take them out of water and peel by hand. Put peeled yams bowl. Use the mixer and beat the yams. Clean the strings off of several times until there are hardly any strings left. Now add the brown sugar and blend together. Add all other ingredients except marshmallows. Beat and mix well. Put the mix in a shallow bowl and refrigerate overnight or bake the same day. When you bake marshmallows on top and bake at about 350* until marshmallows are brown.
