  • 4 cups pastry flour
  • 1 pound butter
  • 1 cup fruit sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream the butter, add sugar and gradually, cream thoroughly.
Add most of the flour slowly.
When stiff dough is formed, turn out on lightly floured board; gradually knead in remaining flour, until thoroughly blended.
Shortbread may be used in cookie press or chilled and rolled out 1/4 inch thick to cut into fancy shapes
Place on baking sheet.
Bake on shiny pan in centre oven.
Bake only until shortbread just starts to brown.
Bake at 350 for 10-20 minutes according to thickness
