Taco Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 med. onion, finely chopped
  • 1 28 oz. can whole tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 pkg. Taco seasoning
  • 1 14-16 oz. can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • OPTIONAL: 1 15 oz. can pinto beans, drained and rinsed

Preparation

Step 1

In a large saucepan, saute onion and brown beef; drain. In a blender, puree whole tomatoes and their liquid until smooth. Put all ingrediets except cheese in the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer forr 5 minutes. Top with cheese and serve with tostito chips, crackers or bread.
