Philly Pound Cake

  • 1 8 ounce package cram cheese
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sifted cake flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

Combine soft cream cheese, margarine, sugar and vanilla mixing until well blended. Add eggs, mix at low speed on electric mixer until blended. Gradually add flour sifted with baking powder mixing at low speed until blended. Pour into greased and floured 9x5 loaf pan. Bake at 325 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
