Sauted Shrimp

This is great served over cheesy grits of rice. These can be used for lettuce wraps.

Ingredients
- Marinade:
- Depending on size of shrimp, you need 1 - 2 lbs. Peel and clean
- 1 large onion or green onions can be used
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/4 teaspoon five spice powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 tablespoons sate sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dry sherry (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
In a large sealable bag, place marinade ingredients and cleaned shrimp. Place bag in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Peel onion and slice in half, then cut each half in thin wedges. In a large skillet or wok, heat oil and add onions. Sauté onions until transparent, about 2 minutes. Add shrimp and the marinade and sauté until prawn are cooked, about 3 minutes then add the 1 tablespoon of water.
