Ingredients
- 2 C. unsalted butter (not margarine)
- 4 C. cane powdered sugar (C &H or Dominoes)
- 2 t. Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 C. heavy cream
Preparation
Step 1
Cream softened butter together with vanilla and heavy cream.
Add dry ingredients and mix on medium for about 5 minutes until thoroughly blended creamy.
Color as desire with either powdered or paste food coloring. (Not liquid coloring.)
Remember, this will be softer than buttercream icings made with vegetable shortening. May require some refrigeration while not being used.
Store any unused portions in refrigerator. Toss out after 2 weeks.
