Ingredients
- FROSTING:
- 1 stick oleo or butter
- 4 tbsp cocoa (heaping)
- 1/2 c. cooking oil
- 1 c. water
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp soda
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c.sour cream or buttermilk
- Vanilla to taste
- 1 stick oleo or butter
- 4 heaping tbsp cocoa
- 1/3 c. milk
- 3 to 3 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
Step 1
Bring to a boil: oleo, cocoa, oil and water. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Pour over: 2 c. flour and 2 c. sugar.
Add: soda, eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Mix well.
Bake 18 to 20 min at 400 degrees in a 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan.
FROSTING: Bring to a boil: oleo, cocoa and 1/3 c. milk. Cool slightly, add 2 c. powdered sugar and beat until spreading consistency. Add Nuts.
