Buttercream Frosting 2

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks salted, softened butter
  • 2/3 cup Crisco shortening
  • 5-8 tbsp. heavy cream
  • 2 tsp. clear vanilla
  • 8 cups (2 pounds) powdered sugar
  • 1-3 tbsp. corn syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together butter and shortening until smooth. Slowly add 2 tsp. vanilla and 5 tbsp. heavy cream. Gradually add the powdered sugar and scrape down the bowl very well. Slowly add more cream and corn syrup a tablespoon at a time until the frosting reaches desired consistency.
