BBQ Pulled Pork with Veggies and Rice - Allergy Free

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle root beer
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle your favorite allergy free BBQ sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cup brown rice (not cooked)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen broccoli

Preparation

Step 1

Place pork, root beef, 1/2 of BBQ sauce, and sliced onion in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours, until pork shreds easily.

Add rice, broth, water and broccoli to rice cooker. Cover and cook approx. 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

Drain pork mixture and stir in remaining BBQ sauce. Serve pork over broccoli and rice and enjoy!
