Meatballs - Swedish

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread torn in pieces
  • 1/2 C evaporated skim milk
  • 1 1/2 lb lean hamburger
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Dash or 2 of pepper, ginger, nutmeg
  • 1 jar of prepared beef gravy

Preparation

Step 1

- Mix bread an milk and let sit for a few minutes
- Add remaining ingredients and form into 1 - 2 inch balls
- Bake on a cookie sheet at 375 for 20 - 25 min, drain
- Place in a pan and cover with gravy; heat
- May microwave 12 - 14 balls on a microwave safe plate, covered with waxed paper for 3 -4 min until no longer pink, drain and repeat with remiaing balls
