Sides (South -of-the-Border Rice & Beans)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup ORTEGA salsa, any variety
  • 1/2 package (3 Tbsp) ORTEGA taco seasoning mix
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups uncooked instant white rice
  • 1 can (About 15 ounces) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Preparation

Step 1

1) Combine water, salsa, seasoning mix and oil in large saucepan; mix well. Stir in rice and beans; mix well

2) Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cover; remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.

3) Stir in cilantro.
