Ingredients
- For the white sauce:
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 3/4 cup cream or half and half (I just used milk and it was fine)
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 6 tablespoons grated parmesan
- For the pizza:
- prepared pizza dough
- 1/2 cup fresh baby spinach, torn
- 1 cup small broccoli florets (I used a steamer bag)
- 2 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- grated parmesan
Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium high heat. Whisk in flour and keep stirring for about 2 minutes, it should start turned a golden color. Stir in milk (or cream) and garlic. Keep cooking over medium high heat until mixture starts bubbling and thickening. Remove from heat and stir in parmesan cheese until melted.
Prebake crust for about 5 minutes at 400 degrees (if needed as per your pizza dough directions). Generously spread white sauce over crust. Top with torn spinach leaves and broccoli. Sprinkle mozzarella, then cheddar, than grated parmesan on top. Bake for about 10 minutes or until cheeses are completely melted.
