Crumb Boss Vanilla Custard

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 Fresh Lg Egg
  • 2 Fresh Lg YOLKS
  • 4 oz Sugar
  • 1 1/2 oz Cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 oz Butter

Preparation

Step 1

Heat milk, vanilla bean. In bowl mix eggs,sugar and cornstarch. Add cornstarch/egg mixture to hot milk and heat until boiling and thick. Remove from heat. Add butter. Strain through sieve to remove lumps. Cool in refrigerator. Makes 1 quart.
