Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin (in a foil packet)

By

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1-1/2 lb. pork tenderloin
  • 1 (1.27 oz) pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • Teriyaki sauce
  • 2 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Cut 2 pieces of heavy-duty foil large enough to wrap around the whole tenderloin. Stock the foil pieces and set the tenderloin in the cent3r of the foil.

Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the tenderloin and rub into the meat. Drizzle olive oil and some teriyaki sauce over meat. Top with apple and onion slices.

Wraop foil pieces around tenderloin in a tent pack (loosely fold down top leaving space for steam. Tightly fold sides.)

Cook as directly. Let cooked meat stand for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Oven: cook in a preheated 325 degree oven on a baking sheet for about 1 1/2 hours or until meat registers 155 - 160 degrees on a meat thermometer and pork is tender.

Grill: Preheat grill to medium heat. Place foil packet on the grill over indirect heat, close lid and cook for 45 - 60 minutes or until meat registers 155 - 160 degrees and pork is tender. Turn foil packet every 15 minutes.
