Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cube margarine 1 teaspoon anise flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 eggs 1 teaspoon anise seed
  • 1 cup sugar 1 Tablespoon lemon rind
  • 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Cream margarine and sugar. Add one egg at a time. Sift dry ingredients. Beat well. Knead

Make 3 rolls 1 inch diameter 1/2 inch high.

Bake at 350 for 2o minutes. Cut and toast. (Place cut side down and bake and additional 15 minutes at 350.)

Should add finely chopped almonds.
