Ingredients
- Single Crust: Double Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening 2/3 cup shortening
- 4 to 5 Tablespoons cold water 5 to 7 Tablespoons cold water
Preparation
Step 1
Sift flour and salt together; cut in shortening. Sprinkle 1Tablespoon water over part of mixture. Toss. Add water until dough is workable and forms a ball.
Bake at 450 for 10 to 12 minutes for baked shell.
