Chocolate Walnut Biscotti

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces semi sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 325.
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (long time)
Add eggs and vanilla to butter mixture. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Form logs 14” x 1 1/2” slightly flatten.
Place 3 inches apart on greased and floured pan. Bake 25 minutes. Cool 5 minutes (or ten). Cut with serrated knife 3/4” inch thick. Place cut side up on pan and bake 10 minutes more.
