Dip - Spinach & Artichoke Dip in a Bread Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) carton sour cream
  • 1 (1 oz) pkg. dry ranch dressing mix
  • 1 (14 oz) can artichoke heats, drained, rinsed and chopped
  • 1 (10 oz) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
  • 1 (2 oz) jar diced pimentos, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (1 1/2 lb) round loaf bread, any kind

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium bowl, combine sour cream and ranch dressing mix. Stir in chopped artichokes, spinach and pimentos; set aside.

Prepare bread bowl, slice of top, leave 1" on sides. Tear the removed bread into pieces and reserve for dipping.

Spoon dip into bread shell. May be served warm or cold.

To serve warm: place filled bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake in 400 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. Cover loaf with foil if the bread browns too quickly.

Serve with bread cubes or assorted fresh vegetables for dipping.
