Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 2 t. almond flavoring
- 6 drops food coloring (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Combine butter and sugar with electric mixture. Add almond flavoring. Add flour and almonds by wooden spoon. Roll dough into 2 logs 1 and 1/2 inch in diameter. Refrigerate for 2 hours, roll in granulated sugar 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick. Bake on unprepared cookie sheet at 300 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
