Fresh Broccoli with Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  • Lemon Sauce:
  • 2 pounds fresh broccoli, cleaned trimmed and cut
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces cream cheese-softened

Step 1


2 pounds fresh broccoli, cleaned trimmed and cut

Cook until just tender, drain and place on serving dish

Lemon Sauce:
Saute almonds in butter, stirring frequently. Set aside. Combine remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat stirring until smooth and creamy. Pour over broccoli and top with almonds.
