Carne Asada Tacos

Ingredients

  • Meat:
  • 1 package corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 flank steak
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. cumin
  • 1/2 Tbsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • Coleslaw:
  • 1 (16-oz.) package coleslaw mix
  • 1 (12-oz.) bottle ranch dressing
  • 3 Tbsp. your favorite hot sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. basil chopped

Preparation

Step 1

To prepare steak, first combine following ingredients for marinade: paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, cilantro, garlic, lime juice, and olive oil. Drench flank steak in mixture and allow to marinate for 1—6 hours in refrigerator.

I prefer my steak medium rare, so I grill the meat for 7—10 minutes per side.

While steak rests, prepare coleslaw. Combine ranch dressing, hot sauce, and basil in medium bowl, then mix in coleslaw.

Warm tortillas, then fill each taco with flank steak and coleslaw. Garnish with fresh avocado and lime wedge.
