Creole Mussels

Ingredients

  • 4 cups washed mussels
  • 3 tbsp Creole cooking sauce
  • 1/2 cup cooking wine
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • sald & pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1. Brig wine to a boil in large pot.
2. Add mussels and steam for 3 minutes.
3. Add Creole sauce, tomatoes, onion, and herbs.
4. Cook covered for 3 miutes until shells open.
5. Remove mussels and place on a platter.
6. Whisk butter into the sauce and cook for 2 more minutes.
7. Add salt and pepper to taste and pour sauce over mussels.
