Fried Cheese Curds (Beer Battered)

Ingredients

  • Cheese Curds
  • Oil
  • Buttermilk
  • Beer
  • Flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cayenne Pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Let the Cheese Curds come to room temperature

Heat Oil to 425° in a deep frier or frying pan

Mix Wet ingredients together (equal amounts of Buttermilk and Beer)

Mix Dry ingredients together (Flour, Salt, Pepper and Cayenne Pepper)... use the seasons to taste... is you want it a little more spicy, and more Cayenne Pepper.

Take the Cheese Curds and put them in the Buttermilk and Beer Bath. Let them soak at least 10 Minutes, if not longer.

Take the Cheese Curds from the Buttermilk and Beer Bath and put in the Flour Mix coating all the Cheese Curds

Take the Cheese Curds from the Flour Mix and fry in pre-heated oil

Fry until golden brown

Serve hot and with a dipping sauce like (Aioli (Smoked Spanish Paprika)) also found on the site
