Chicken N Dumplings Granny Ake's

Ingredients

• 1 whole chicken, or breast and thighs
• 2 cans biscuits
• 1 box Swanson chicken broth
• salt and pepper
• dumplings
• 2 3/4 all purpose flour
• 4 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoon melted shorting
• 1 cup milk
• 1 egg beaten

Preparation

Step 1

no stick bottom of pot
place chicken in stew pot
cover with water
boil chicken until done
De-bone chicken and cut into small pieces
set aside
take biscuits and roll in flour until flat
cut in stripes or blocks
make sure biscuits are covered in flour
add salt and pepper and broth to chicken water
bring to a boil
once broth is boiling drop biscuits in broth
cook until no longer doughy
or make dumplings
Mix all ingredients until batter is stiff enough to scoop with a spoon
drop from spoon onto broth
cook about 6 to 8 minutes
then add chicken cook until done
