Ingredients
- 8 slices Thick Sliced Bacon
- 1 pound 80% Lean Ground Beef
- 1 red onion, diced
- 1 cup diced pineapple
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Chili Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 cup Hickory BBQ Sauce
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 cup Honey Mustard
- 28 ounces Baked Beans
- 15.5 ounces Black Beans
- 15.5 ounces Great Northern Beans
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Cut bacon into ¼ inch lengthwise pieces. In a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook bacon until crispy, about 10 minutes. Remove bacon and reserve.
Add ground beef to Dutch oven, cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove beef and reserve.
Reduce heat to medium, sauté onion until translucent, about 8 minutes. Add pineapple and cook for 2 minutes.
Return bacon and beef to Dutch oven. Add remaining ingredients except cilantro. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Garnish with cilantro.
