Ingredients
- 2 1/2 C water
- 1 C evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 C sugar
- 4 eggs beaten with a 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 pkgs yeast
- 1/2 lb butter
- 2 tsp salt
- 12 C flour
Details
Preparation
Step 1
Boil water and milk and cool slightly.
Add the yeast, butter salt and sugar
Add eggs and about 5 cups flour and mix well
Let stand about 45 minutes or until it bubbles
Add rest of the flour.
Kneed until fingers are free of dough and let rise about 1 1/2 hours
Place in greased pans and let rise to top of your pan.
Brush top with beaten egg
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, check in 25 minutes.
