Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 1 1/4 c milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp ground pepper,nutmeg
- 1 1/2 c shredded gruyere
- 3 egs,lightly beaten
- 3 Tbsp minced parsley
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 400
Lightly butter a 4 c gratin dish
In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium low heat
Add flour,cook until it bubbles,about 20 sec
Whisk in milk,bring to a boil,whisking occassionaly until thick
Add salt,pepper and nutmeg
Remove from heat and cool slightly
Stir in cheese,eggs,parsley
Pour into dish and smooth surface
Bake 30 to 35 min,until puffed and brown
Makes 4 servings
