Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup rice (brown preferred)
- 1/2 cup vermicelli or other pasta, broken in pieces (whole wheat preferred)
- 3 1/2 cups stock (beef, chicken or vegetable)
- 1 tablespoon parsley
Preparation
Step 1
In a skillet, melt butter. Add vermicelli and cook until light brown. Add rice, stock, and parsley. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
