Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour-measured lightly 1 8 ounce carton plain yogurt
- 2 cups sugar 3 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup butter or margarine at room temperature 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- 1/2 to 1-cup poppy seeds
Preparation
Step 1
In large mixer bowl stir together dry ingredients. Add butter yogurt, eggs and vanilla. Beat at slow speed until all is moist. Beat on medium 4 minutes scrapping frequently. Stir in lemon peel and poppy seeds. Turn into 12-cup bundt pan. Bake at 45-60 minutes at 325. Cool in pan 5 minutes. Turn out on rack. Dust with powdered sugar or glaze. 16 servings.
