SUSIE'S CHILI

Got this recipe from Wendy (Rode) Shearer who got it from her sister Sue (Rode) Berdanier. Toby says this tastes just like the chili at Crossroads restaurant.

Ingredients
- 2 red bell peppers
- 2 green bell peppers
- 3 lbs. ground beef
- 1-1/2 large bottles of ketchup(50oz.)
- 1 large red onion
- 2 large cans kidney beans
- 3 small cans Hanover Chili Beans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup King Syrup
- 1/4 cup Frank's Hot Sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 TBS. black pepper
- 1 TBS. cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 TBS. garlic powder
- 2 TBS. chili powder
Preparation
Step 1
Mix spices and ground beef. Brown with onion, beans and peppers. Cook over low heat for about 1 hour.
