Sushi Rice ****

This is the recipe I used when I made sushi while we were at Cape Hatteras for my 50th B-Day!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup "sushi" rice (wash for 2 min)
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1 &1/2 ts salt

Preparation

Step 1

1. Combine rice and water in med pot. Turn burner to high heat til water starts to boil. Lower to simmer, cover pot, simmer 6-8 min.

2. Combine vinegar, sugar, and salt in small pan over low heat til sugar dissolves.

3. Pour vinegar over rice.
