Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 Tbsp grated lemon rind
- 1/4 cup juice from a lemon
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Sift the flour and powdered sugar together.
Cut in butter until blended.
Press mixture over the bottom of a 9x13x2-inch pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until lightly browned.
Combine granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, lemon rind, and juice.
Spread over the baked crust.
Turn the oven up to 350 degrees.
Bake for 30 minutes.
After removing from oven, sprinkle with additional powdered sugar.
When fully cool, cut into squares.
