Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup (1 Stick) Butter
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Ounce Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
- 3 Tablespoons Hot Water
- 2 Cups Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- Course white sugar (optional).
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Melt chocolate and mix with water. Let cool to room temperature.
Mix egg and vanilla together; add chocolate and fold into butter and sugar mixture. Fold in flour.
Roll dough into 1" balls and then roll each ball into 1/4" diameter "logs." Shape into pretzels on ungreased cookie sheet.
Top with course sugar (optional).
Bake for 10 minutes.
