Chicken Cacciatore

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. Chicken Pieces, Bone-In, Skin On
  • 1 Onion, cut into slices
  • 1 Green Pepper, cut in strips
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 Can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 C. White Wine
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Fresh Oregano, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. Fresh Thyme, chopped
  • 1/2 C. Siced Fresh Mushrooms

Preparation

Step 1

Take chicken pieces; flour them, then brown in oil. Then , to the skillet, add the onion slices, pepper strips, minced garlic & mushrooms. Cook till soft. Then add the wine & stir till 1/2 has evaporated. Next, add remaining ingredients & simmer, covered over med. heat for 45 min. Serve with spaghetti.
