Savory Apple Gravy for Pork Loin Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup unsweetened apple juice or 1 cup applesauce (both work great)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 heaping tsp. thyme, ground
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients and pour over pork roast. When the roast is cooked, remove and tent.

If there is fat in the pan, remove and measure it. Put fat in a pan with an equal amount of flour. Stir roux until smooth. Add roasting pan juices and mix well. Run through a sieve and serve over sliced roast.
