Ingredients
- 1/2 c creamed cottage cheese
- 1 lb ground beef or 1 1/4 lb. ground turkey
- 1 c shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 t. oregano
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. Bisquick
- 2 eggs
Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Spread cottage cheese in greased 9” pie plate.
3. Cook ground meat, drain.
4. Stir in ½ c. mozzarella cheese, oregano and tomato paste; spoon over top of cottage cheese.
5. Stir milk, Bisquick, and eggs with fork until blended.
6. Pour into plate. Bake 30-35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
7. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 1-2 minutes or until cheese melts.
8. This recipe has ½ t. salt to be added, if desired, with the tomato paste, etc. You can also add onion and peppers to the meat while it cooks.
