PIE CRUST (AUNT PUDDY'S)

Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 t. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. shortening
  • 5 T. water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t. vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

Cut shortening into flour & salt until the size off peas.

Mix water, egg & vinegar together.

Add to flour mixture and combine until you have a ball.

Cut into 3 or 4 equal parts.

Roll one at a time to put in bottom or on top of filled pie.

Recipe makes enough for about 3-one crusted pies or two 2-crusted pies.

Bake according to pie directions.

Store left over dough in saran wrap or tightly sealed container in refrigerator or frozen.
