PICKLES, BREAD & BUTTER

Ingredients

  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. mustard seeds
  • 1/4 t. celery seeds

Preparation

Step 1

Cut cucumber into 1/4 " slices, about 2 cups

Cut onion into thin rounds, about 3/4 cup

Mix all ingredients in 1 quart microwave safe bowl

cook on high for 7-8 minutes, stirring twice, until cucumbers are tender crisp & onion is transparent.

Ladle into warm glass jar

Cool & refrigerate.

Makes 2 1/2 cups.
