Ceci Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 can ceci beans
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 can tomato sauce
  • 1 clove garlic smashed
  • 1 Tablespoon oil
  • 4 cans water

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan add 1 can ceci, soda and water. Simmer 15-20 minutes. in another saucepan big enough to hold all, heat oil, add garlic and brown. Add water to 1/2 can tomato sauce and then add to oil. Cook down until thick. Remove ceci from water. Smash leaving some whole and add to tomato mixture. heat. Add water and cook 20 minutes longer, then add salt and pepper and shells. Cook until shells are done.
