Chess Squares

Ingredients

• 1 box yellow cake mix
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1 stick margarine, melted
• 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.
In 13x9 inch pan, mix cake mix, butter and egg thoroughly. Press down dough into pan. Dough will be stiff. Press down nuts on top of dough.
Mix 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, 3eggs, 1 box powdered sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla in a bowl. Pour this mixture over
dough in pan. Bake for 35 minutes. Cool completely and then cut into squares.
