Coconut Pecan Frosting*

This is good on German Chocolate cake.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1-2/3 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Blend milk, sugar, butter, and slightly beaten egg. Cook and stir until mixture comes to full boil; boil and stir for 2 minutes. Cool slightly; add vanilla, coconut and nuts.
Cool, stirring occasionally, until spreading consistency.
