Frosting for German Choc. Cake

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup angel flake coconut
  • 2/3 chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Combine Milk, egg yolks, sugar, butter, and vanilla in sauce pan

Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture comes to a full boil, about 5 minutes

Continue boiling, stirring constantly about 2 more minutes or until it turns caramel colored

Add cocnut and peacans

Cool
