Portuguese Rice Jerry Jacob

Ingredients

  • Uncle Ben's White Rice 1 1/2 Cups
  • 1 Small Onion
  • Saffron Olive Oil Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Put enough olive oil to cover the bottom of the pot you are going to finish the rice in.
Dice 1 medium onion and add to oil and sauté until translucent
Add the dry rice to the onion and heat stirring just a bit until it just starts to brown
Add the water, cover and reduce heat to low
Add Saffron and salt to taste
