Ingredients
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs whites, lightly beated
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/3 c. oats
- 1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sifted powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium bowl, stir well. Add egg whites, stir well. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients; add to sugar mixture, stirring well. Pour batter into an 8" square pan that has been greased. Bake at 350 for 23 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Yield: 12 servings (about 126 calories per 2 1/2 x 2" bar)
