Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork loin chops 3/4 in (about 1 lb.)
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 pkg. beef rice-a-roni
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz)can seasoned diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 3/4 cup water

Step 1

1. Sprinkle pork chops with basil, thyme, garlic powder. Heat 1 tbsp. oil in skillet. Add pork chops, cook 3 min. Reduce heat, cook 3 min. Remove from skillet and set aside.
2. In same skillet over med. heat, saute rice mix, onion, and garlic with remaining tbsp. oil until rice is brown.
3. Slowly stir in 1 3/4 cup of water, tomatoes, and seasoning packet. Cover, reduce heat to low for 10 min.
4. Add pork chops. Cover, simmer 10 min or until rice is tender and pork chops are no longer pink inside.
