Orange Marmalade Bread

Keep several loaves of this sweet favorite on hand to serve when friends drop by.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 10 oz jar orange marmalade
- 2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Preparation
Step 1
Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well.
Blend in marmalade; set aside.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to butter mixture alternately with orange juice; stir in nuts.
Pour into a greased and floured 9"x5" loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for about one hour or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.
