Salad Dressing - Yellow Dope Nana

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 t butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 t salt
  • 4 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 t mustard (dry) made to paste w/ 1
  • T cold water

Preparation

Step 1

Let vinegar and butter come to a boil. Beat eggs and sugar together. Add mustard paste and salt. Stir mixture into boiling vinegar, but DO NOT BOIL. Reduce heat sufficiently so it will not boil, as it will curdle. Stir until thick. Stir constantly, takes about 15 minutes to thicken.
