Cream Cheese Cookies

  • 1 c. (2 Sticks) butter or margarine
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • pecan halves
  • Variation candied cherries instead of pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cream butter and cream cheese. Add sugar gradually beat in egg yolk and vanilla. Add flour. Chill dough 1 hour. Shape in 1 inch balls. Place on greased cookie sheet press pecan half on each ball. Bake at 325 degrees for 12 - 15 minutes.
