Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs – room temperature
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1 t. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 t. salt (optional)
- 3 cups Quaker Oats (Quick or Old Fashioned, uncooked)
- 1 cup raisins
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 degrees
In large bowl, beat together butter and sugars until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well
Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well
Stir in oats and raisins.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes for a chewy OR 11 to 12 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cool completely.
