Dill Bread (Noel)

Ingredients

  • 2 packages yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 2 teaspoons minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Sprinkle yeast over water and stir in sugar, set aside. Mix cottage cheese, onion, dill, baking powder, salt sugar and egg. Mix in yeast. Add flour until stiff. Knead until smooth. Put in greased bowl, cover and let raise until double, about 1 1/2 hours. Punch down and knead again. Divide in 2 portions, put in greased bread pans and let raise again. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
